Minutes of
MADWA Board Meeting
August 3. 2006
Held at Orv
BratlandŐs home
The meeting was
called to order at 3:00 p.m. and previous minutes were approved as written.
TREASURERŐS
REPORT
Karen Sturm
gave the TreasurerŐs report. We discussed the issue of dues in relation to
needs in the future. It is felt
that an increase is necessary to adequately fund needs. The Board will research
other town home associations to get competitive data on fees charged. The issue
will be discussed at the Annual meeting. Please look for a letter from Orv
Bratland concerning raising of dues previous to that time.
IRRIGATION
STATUS
The quality of
work performed by Concierge this season has not been as expected in several
areas including snow removal and irrigation service. We appreciate the work of
the Volunteers committee in replacing sprinkler heads and adjusting them so we
have less dry spots on our commons areas. A new controller system has been
approved by the Board.
STUCCO
Orv will get
quotes for repairing peeling stucco. We do have the original formula which was
made available to us by Gary Gorham.
CATS AND BIRDS
We still have
the continuous problem and new complaints of animals running loose. A call to
the city may bo necessary to alleviate the problem.
PAINTING
The painting
has been done on our exterior doors and frames except for one home which will
be done when the door problem is resolved.
HAY RIDE
The Board would
like to know if there is any interest in going on a Hay Ride at Bunker Stables
in the early fall. Please check the web site for possible dates and respond to
Jan via email at jankmn@aol.com.
CHRISTMAS PARTY
Orv and Elaine
Bratland have generously volunteered to host our annual Christmas party. It is
scheduled for December 8.
Meeting adjourned at 5:00 p.m. Next meeting scheduled for September 12 at 7:00 p.m. at JanŐs house.
